By now, JavaScript is an essential part of web development. Thus we thought that
it makes sense to organize a JavaScript training close to the PHP Unconference
in Hamburg this year.

The full revenue of the training is passed on to the PHP Unconference. It might
even sponsor a JavaScript Unconference in the future. So make sure to reserve
your seat there, learn a lot about JavaScript from Jakob and help us all to
experience more awesome unconferences.

In this workshop you can learn about the essentials of JavaScript. Jakob will
cover the inner workings of JavaScript and will help you understand how functions
and their scopes work. You will learn to understand closures and where to use
them in a sane way. Finally Jakob will provide in-depth explanations of the
prototype based object orientation in JavaScript, so that you once are
prefectly prepared to program JavaScript in an object oriented way.

Learning about these basics is useful for beginners as well as advanced
