How? What? And why?

A code review helps you to assess the quality of an existing code base: It
allows you to identify hot spots that might result in problems and to get an
impression of the quality state of software.

So, why would you want a code review to happen? A variety of scenarios exist,
where a code review makes sense, so we can only provide you with some examples:

Imagine you have a somewhat large and important project, which you developed
for the past years without or with few quality assurance measures in place. A
code review can give you an impression of the state of quality and identify
strategies on how you can get started in a sensible and cost-effective way.

Maybe you want to start using a new framework, library or product to speed up
development or business process. A professional code review can indicate if the
chosen product is of satisfying quality to solve this goal.

Finally, if you want to provide your development crew with a training to boost
their abilities, a code review gives the trainer a strong basis to design your
custom training. It allows us to adjust the training schedule to your
individual needs.

A Qafoo code review is executed by one or more of our quality experts. It
consists of two essential parts:

First of, we make use of the full spectrum of available static code analysis
tools and your test suite (if available) on the current and past state of your
project. Our experts have sound knowledge on using these tools and, even more
important, on interpreting the results and deducing usable information from it.

This analysis also helps us for the second part of the review, where we will
manually inspect the code base using spot checks. This manual analysis helps us
to verify the results of static code analysis and to give you essential
recommendations on how to proceed.

The offer
=========

Normally we provide such quality reports for 1200,- € per day of code review.
The report is written afterwards and there are no additional charges for that.
If you book at least two days of code review with a focus on software quality
and maintainability we can offer you the report for only **960,- € per day**,
if you book it until January 31st for February.
