Remember your calls for papers

Do you speak at PHP conferences regularly? Or do you plan to do so? Do you occasionally forget when the call for papers for a conference starts or ends? So, you have a similar problem than we have. And we hacked up a simple solution: The Call For Papers manager (qaCFP).

The tool works quite simple: You can add CFPs you know about and which are relevant for the PHP community through a simple form. In order to remember the CFPs, you can configure two kinds of reminders:

For each of these lists, you can determine when to be reminded, like 2 days before the event occurs. These lists can then be easily integrated into your normal feed reader using an RSS or Atom feed.

qaCFP is written on basis of Apache Zeta Components. Do you need training or support for this high quality PHP component library?

For example, if you want to get a reminder 1 week before a CFP ends through RSS, you use the URL http://cfps.qafoo.com/reminder/ending/1_week.rss.

We hope to make life a bit easier for conference speakers with this tool. Please feel invited to use it and to contribute CFPs to it. Feedback is very welcome as a comment on this blog post. Cheers!

P.S. There are only 2 (currently running) CFPs in the system as this blog post is written. So you need to choose a somewhat extensive reminder config to see anything useful. For example look at the CFPs ending in the next 6 months reminder.
